thoughts for the evening...
Marriage is beautiful. The Lord has brought Jess and I closer through these past few months of marriage. Jess is truly my best friend, my companion, my wife and my sister in Christ. Tonight we watched the T.V., baked some banana bread and worked on our blog. It feels nice to break down life into simple happenings. I recall a verse saying, "I do not concern myself with things too complicated for me." I feel light tonight, knowing that God is taking care of all the details that I simply cannot comprehend at the moment. It is a gift to wake up with Jess, it is a gift to share life together whether our relationship seems rough or smooth. There is beauty in sharing life together with Jess. We hope you are all doing well and that the Lord is blessing your steps.
Love,
Ryguy

our honeymoon
After taking a few planes, one of which was a tiny 14-passenger, and dodging the tropical storm that, by the way, was supposed to ruin our trip, we arrived. Our honeymoon destination was just outside the village of Hopkins in Belize, a quaint, bumpy-dirt-road-filled village, that we absolutely loved visiting. Our resort was a couple miles outside of the village on a calm and uncrowded beach. Our honeymoon suite was incredible and the resort was gorgeous. We snorkeled, sea-kayaked, went deep sea fishing, road bikes into the village, worked on our tans, hiked in the jungle, ate termites, swam in a waterfall pool, got seaside massages, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. It didn't rain on us once. We were truly blessed with a wonderful week. We often find ourselves in the middle of the work week just wanting to leave it all and go back.
our wedding
It was a joyful, stressful, love-filled, emotional, momentous, disorganized, sizzling hot, and beautiful day. We were so blessed to have our most loved people around us throughout the week, holding everything together and making it all come through in the end. To all of those people, you know who you are, we love you eternally. Everything was breathtakingly beautiful. It was our own unique start to life together, one we will remember always. How could we forget after gazing at the Parson's amazing photography for hours? We love our photographers. We love our in-the-family wedding coordinators. We love Scott Paul for being thrown into innumerable tasks and doing beautifully. We love our friends who were hair stylists, florists, caterers, and all-time best supporters. We love our family and friends more than we can say. We hope you love looking back on that glorious day.
